GROWTH SPURTS

Growth spurts occur at approximately 10 days, 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 12 weeks, 4 months and 6 months of your baby's life.

During these times, you will notice that your baby will be demanding additional feedings and becoming fussy, especially if you are breastfeeding. If you are breastfeeding, your baby may want to nurse longer and more frequently until your supply catches up. You may find yourself wondering if your breast milk supply is diminishing, be rest assured though, it is only temporary. If you are bottle feeding, your baby may require more formula at each feed, or may require an extra bottle or two during the day, your baby will soon let you know when they're hungry. You may also find that your baby's sleep become disrupted during this time.
